Although Prescribes accredited exercise physiologists (AEP) specialise in manual handling and injury prevention it is important at times to be reminded of our grass roots, where the journey begins for our employees and what our university qualifications are based around. At Prescribe our AEP’s have extensive skills above the normal scope of practice of the normal AEP; training and assessment, workplace health and safety and workplace assessments to name a few. This along with the years of practical hands on experience that comes from treating, managing and preventing workplace injuries is what sets us apart. However the question still remains for our relatively young profession, what is an AEP?
